Many times we come across situations when we need to share our computer with others. Though we can give them a separate account to login to but except for the document folders and user folders (which are separate for every account on Windows), the other drives are still open for everyone to see.
Today, I will show you a way, via which you will be able to hide any folder from viewing from any other account other than the admin account.
The steps are pretty simple and I have tried my best to explain them with a series of screenshots, still if you get stuck executing them at any moment of time, feel free to approach me through comment section below.

One of the most appealing features of windows 7 is Aero Flip. though many of us have heard about it because of its wide publicity and promotion before the launch of windows 7, however i wasn’t very clear on how to get the flip effect.
initially I thought Alt+Tab will do the trick. However I was wrong. It seems to achieve it you must have Windows Home Premium and above and use the ‘Win+Tab’ key

So just a heads up to all my readers who know about the effect but haven’t tried it out. If you have Windows 7 Home Premium+ editions…just press ‘Win+Tab’ and check the effect as shown above
Cool, isn’t it

After working currently in IT industry, where computers are used the most, I have realized that most of them refrain from switching off their PC’s because even though they are done for the day, they arent done with their inportant work. Most times it happens that when you are onto something conclusive, times up and you have to leave . But then, you dont want to end something that you done after scratching and breaking your heads for hours and trust me, not everything can be saved as easy as text files. In that case, what most do is simply lock down their PC’s by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del.

Recently, for my personal project purpose I came across a application that wasn’t quite working well with Windows 7. Because of this problem I was prompted towards finding a solution that could well, help me retain to my favourite OS as well as sort out this ‘one’ application problem too.
I researched my favourite search engine ‘Google’ for this and found out a very interesting fact about Windows 7. Windows 7 – the way the creators have build it,has an inner ability to run Windows Xp in a complete virtual environment. This is what Microsoft calls it as ‘WinXp mode’ and Windows Virtual PC is the application that runs this mode
Here is a quote from VMLite software site about the need for XPMode within Windows 7
To improve application compatibility on Windows 7, and to ease the transition from older Windows operating systems to Windows 7, is crucial for the success of Windows 7, and Microsoft has done tremendous works to achieve such a goal. First, Windows 7 ships a large number of device drivers to for better hardware support. Microsoft also provides a free tool call “Windows 7 Upgrade Adviser" that will run on your current PC prior to Windows 7 upgrade and it predicts if there are known incompatibilities with third-party programs and hardware. For those are reliant on their legacy applications, Windows 7 adds a new feature called Windows XP Mode allows applications that are only compatible with XP run as virtual applications in Windows 7 in the same desktop.
